Rajinikanth-Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0 might be called the sequel to Enthiran but the story follows a brand new plot.


Megastar Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0 is all set for the grand audio launch at Burj Park, Dubai. AR Rahman is expected to perform live at the event. There is absolutely so much excitement about the grandest event of 2017. Just when things could not get more exciting, the makers of 2.0 have released a new poster.

It stars our beloved Rajinikanth as robot, his character, Chitti alongside Amy Jackson and the glimpse of Akshay Kumar who is playing an antagonist in the film.The makers have spent a whopping RS 15 crore on the audio launch alone. The audio launch in Dubai will be followed by a teaser in November and after that the makers will unveil the trailer in December.

 2.0 might be called the sequel to Enthiran but the story follows a brand new plot. This movie will witness a crazy showdown between Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar. The film also stars Amy jackson who is playing a dorid. The head of Lyca Productions has promised action sequences of Hollywood standards. It will be released in a special 3D format. The movie is set for a grand release on Republic weekend in 2018.

Naruda DONORuda Movie Review


Naruda Donoruda is a remake of Bollywood adult comedy Vicky Donor. The original was a critically acclaimed hit for its bold content and charming humor. Many thought of remaking it in Telugu but finally Sumanth has done it. Even though Sumanth did his best to pull this off, Naruda Donoruda suffered due to budget constraints.

What is it about?

Dr. Anjaneyulu (Tanikella) who runs an infertility clinic finds Vicky (Sumanth) to be the best possible bet to be successful. Initially Vicky is reluctant to be a sperm donor, but he gets convinced and starts making money. He falls in love with Aashima Roy (Pallavi) and marries her, but keeps his profession a secret. She comes to know about it later and breaks up with Vicky. How the couple unite forms rest of the story.

Performances:

Sumanth did a fine job given his limitations as an actor. He is not known for doing comedic roles, but managed to pull it off to an extent. Pallavi Subhash is a fine actress. Tanikella Bharani steals the show with his impeccable comedy timing. Sri Lakshmi and Suman Setty played supporting roles.

Technicalities:

Mallik Ram stayed loyal to the original script. He didn't tweak or made any notable changes to it. His direction is pretty ordinary though. Humor and emotions could have been dealt well. Director does a mediocre job despite having strong content in hands.

Music doesn't make any impact. Most of the songs come as a part of the narration but none are worth remembering or revisiting. Cinematography is bad. The film is made on a very low budget and the constraints are evident on the screen. Dialogues are good. There are a few funny one-liners that will leave you in splits.

Analysis:

Vicky Donor was a charming film with fine performances and intelligent humor. It had a solid script and director Shoojit Sircar executed it perfectly. Sperm donation and infertility is a serious issue but is still considered taboo in Indian society. Sircar along with his team made a fun film with a 'shocking' subject.

Naruda Donoruda sticks with the original script, but fails to retain the soul. Everything seems artificial and gives us a feeling that everybody is acting as per instructions. Films like these don't work if the setup looks artificial. Tanikella Bharani with his vast experience tried to save it, but his performance alone couldn't lift Naruda Donoruda.

First half is fun in parts, but the second half turns extremely melodramatic and heavy. That coupled with a predictable ending will leave you so exhausted that Naga Chaitanya's cameo also fails to excite. Production values are so poor that it looks like a television serial at times. We expect better production values from a production house that is associated with Annapurna Studios.

Verdict: Weak Vitthanam.

Sahasam Swasaga Sagipo MovieReview 

Gautam Menon is known for creating beautiful romantic moments on screen. He is also good at filming action and Sahasam Swasaga Sagipo is a film where he uses both these skills to good effect. Sahasam Swasaga Sagipo starts off as a cool breezy romantic entertainer and turns into a nail biting thriller.

What is it about?
Rajinikanth (Chaitanya) falls in love with his sister's friend Leela (Manjima), who stays in their house as a paying guest. Rajanikanth goes on a road trip to Kanyakumari along with Leela on his bike. In return they meet with an accident and life goes topsy-turvy after that. Now Rajinikanth and Leela have to run for their lives.

Performances:

Naga Chaitanya is evolving with each film. He is at complete ease playing the protagonist in this. He is extremely likeable as the boy next door and the transformation to an action hero is commendable. Manjima is cute and also can act. She could go places with right opportunities. Baba Sehgal is alright as the crooked cop. Supporting cast have done decent job. The guy who played Mahesh deserves special mention.

Technicalities:

Gautham Menon can make a simple story impactful with his screenplay and direction. Sahasam Swasaga Sagipo also has a very thin story but Gautham keeps you engaged with his narrative skills. He has shown tremendous grip over the narrative until the penultimate scenes, where everything goes for a toss.

AR Rahman's music is superb. All the songs are impressive. Background score is right on the money. Cinematography stands the highlight of all the technical aspects. The way camera lingers on the faces of the lead actors and the bike is sheer romance. Beautiful, just beautiful! Editing is top notch.

Analysis:
Sahasam Swasaga Sagipo is an intelligent mix of various genres. It starts off as a romance/musical and turns into an action thriller. The mystery element keeps you hooked till the end. Gautham Menon decided to keep the second half taut without any songs and narrated the love story with so many songs.

The film has Gautham Menon's stamp all over it. The dialogue, voiceover, romance track and the action all bear his signature. Story moves at a very slow pace and seems clueless until the twist is thrown in. First half moves at a very slow pace and turns intriguing from the pre interval point.

Second half has some very good action episodes and thrills. However there are far too many illogical scenes involving cops and murders. The ending looks unconvincing and totally out of sync with the rest of the film. Gautham lost grip on proceedings after starting the second half on a terrific note.

Sahasam Swasaga Sagipo would have been a memorable one if the screenplay hasn't lost steam towards the end. It is worth watching despite the flaws as there are some fine moments that will strike a chord. Slow pace and classy narration may not appeal to the masses, but the urban audience may give it a shot. It is definitely not up there amongst Gautham's best works, but it has something for the director's fans to cheer about.

Verdict: A bumpy but engaging ride.

Contrary to previous plan, Nandamuri Balakrishna's landmark Gautamiputra Satakarni is arriving early. The high-budgeted historic epic, which was initially slated for Jan 12 release, has been advanced by a day and is now going to hit the screens on Jan 11. This is big news for Nandamuri fans as the latest date coincides with the actor's blockbuster film Narasimha Naidu which released on the same day 15 years ago.

 Apparently, buyers and distributors are mounting pressure on the makers to come in the date. It's learnt that director Krish and producer Rajeev Reddy are toying with the idea of advancing film's release.

 What's more? With the fresh date, GPSK is going to lock horns with Mega Star Chiranjeevi's Khaidi No. 150, the Telugu remake of Tamil superhit Kaththi. This is going to be big clash in Telugu film fraternity as two biggest stars are jostling for screens.

 An official announcement on the GPSK fresh release date is expected soon.

Usually, periodic drama and socio fantasy entertainers will have lengthy runtimes. Rajamouli's magnum opus film Baahubali: The Beginning had duration of 159 minutes, bit lengthy but there were not much uninteresting sequences in the film.

Interestingly, director Krish is making Nandamuri Balakrishna's Gautamiputra Satakarni (GPSK) a racy entertainer by locking it for short runtime. If a source is to be believed, the film will have crisp runtime of 130 minutes approximately.

Apparently, Krish doesn't wish to include unnecessary elements to bring boredom for audiences. In fact, directors off late are trying to make films as crisp as possible and Krish is following the trend for the prestigious project too.

GPSK is not just about wars, it will have all other emotions too. The sequences of Balakrishna and Hema Malini are said to be emotive. The film will have adequate space for VFX effects, which will last for 40 minutes.

GPSK is nearing completion and post production works are happening simultaneously. The production unit is working hard to complete all works as early as possible to promote the film for good number of day.

If grapevine in Film Nagar is anything to go by, Pawan Kalyan's just launched film under his close friend Trivikram Srinivas direction is touted to be his last film as an actor before he plunges into full-fledged politics. Since this the third film of Pawan Kalyan that has been launched in very short gap - the first two being Katamarayudu and untitled film (Vedalam remake) with AM Rathnam.

Rumours mills are afloat that Pawan may not act anymore after these 3 films and take full charge of his political outfit Jana Sena. If this is going to be true, the film will garner more craze than what it has at the moment. Perhaps this is the reason why makers have zeroed in on top crew for the film  including Cinematographer Manikandan. Meanwhile, hunt for two female leading ladies is on. It's buzzed that Trivikram could rope in a noted Bollywood heroine which Pawan has been looking for sometime.

However, there's no clue on Pawan's two other films which he had committed to Mythri Movie Makers and Dasari Narayana Rao. Looks like, as of now, Pawan is keen on these three films before his political foray. And naturally, this may not go well with Pawan's fans who are wanting to see their favourite matinee idol acting in more films.

Two years ago, Tollywood was swept off by a tsunami (as proudly claimed by the makers in the teaser) called Sampoornesh Babu and Hrudaya Kaleyam. While Sampoo became a Burning Star, the film became a cult classic among spoof films genre, while many others hated it passionately.

After two years, the same team has returned with yet another spoof film titled Kobbari Matta. The film's teaser was released a while ago and it has already become a talking point, but for not so good reasons. First thing first, at 2:37 minutes, it's more of a trailer than a teaser.

And secondly, the entire teaser is an attempt to spoof the iconic Rajinikanth in and as Pedarayudu. The entire teaser has been spread with Sampoo's two minute breathless dialogue about women which is more suffocating and derogatory to women rather than evoking laughter. We will have to wait until the film's release to see if Sampoo manages to create any stir at the box-office.

Producer Prasad V Potluri is laughing of at the reports of his exit from film production. As the Kshanam producer is prepping up to make films on spree, reports of him quitting movies come as shocker to many. However, sources close to the producer have quashed them as "baseless" reports.

"PVP is a strong man. He has great passion for filmmaking and has long list of goals to be achieved. In fact, he is aiming to revolutionise the filmmaking and bringing corporate culture into the production. He has already prepared a road map," said a highly-placed source in the production house.

The source added that he's not so fed-up with the directors but he'd be more conscious from now on wards. While Rana-starrer Ghazi, India's first submarine-based war film, is under production in Hindi, he is contemplating to remake Bangalore Days in Telugu. On other hand, several other projects are under various stages of talks, pre-production. Not long ago, PVP himself stated that he'd be making 9 films in another six months

Looks like the bad times for overseas distributors will continue to haunt them this summer. 

After a decent start to their summer season with Oopiri, the US buyers have been pegged down by a couple of high profile disasters such as Sardaar Gabbar Singh and Sarrainodu, which made losses to the tune of more than $1 million each.

And now, Brahmotsavam is giving sleepless nights to the overseas buyers as the film is struggling at the ticket windows. With nearly $2.7 million at stake, Brahmotsavam has so far collected close to $1.5 million, leaving slightly more than half the investment yet to be recovered.

Even though Mahesh's overseas stamina is pulling the crowds in decent numbers, the film has to perform exceedingly well to bail out its buyers. With Trivikram's A..Aa set for June 2 release, Brahmotsavam is staring at a stiff competition. 

On the other hand, US buyers are pinning all their hopes on the next summer biggies such as A..Aa and Kabali.

Ever since the project Okka Manasu was launched, there have been immense expectations with the film. Mega daughter, Niharika Konidela makes her debut through this simple love story alongside Naga Shorya which is drawing unnecessary attention now a days. 

The audio launch will be graced by Ram Charan and Varun and this will surely help in the promotions of the film but the over hype and hungama has sidelined the young hero Naga Shourya. 

Industry insiders say that Okka Manasu is a sweet love story made on a small budget and with unique narration. The presence of these mega heroes and unwanted hype is creating problems for Naga Shourya who is playing the male lead and his name is no where to be seen because of the attention Niharika is getting.

Well, for Niharkia, things are just fine as she is getting all the hype and needed attention for her debut film.

Notwithstanding the mixed reviews, Allu Arjun's Sarainodu has taken the box office by storm. The film clocked in Rs 101 Crore gross (63.6 Crore share world-wide till May 9th) which is said to be highest in Allu Arjun's career and thus stood among the top 5 highest grossers in the Telugu film industry. The film has broken the opening weekend records of his previous films and is one of the third highest opener standing next to Srimanthudu and Baahubali. Let's take a look on the factors that led the film to achieve the record-breaking numbers.

Allu Arjun

Allu Arjun's new avatar as mass hero instantly lapped up by masses. The way Arjun molded himself the role and how effortlessly he slipped into the character of Gana is lapped up critics, audiences alike. His bulked up body made viewers believe that he has the raw power to take on bunch of goons. His antics, dialogue delivery, comedy tinge worked well. Bunny has given a commendable performance all the way. And thus he becomes one of the major factors for pulling the crowds to theatres.

Boyapati

Allu Arjun's attempt to have an image makeover as a mass hero has been well conceived by Boyapati. Best known for mass entertainers with hero-worshiping elements, director Boyapati Sreenu has a track record of showcasing intense scenes that none can match up to. With Sarainodu, Boyapati has landed into the next level. Besides elevating the star, he also shown Bunny in new style. The buildup scenes, hero's introduction scenes, stylish action episodes have all struck the nerve of majority of viewers. 

Timing

The timing of the release of Sarainodu has helped the film leaps and bounds. The disappointment of Sardaar Gabbar Singh and audiences' craving for good film helped the film a lot. Allu Aravind's meticulous planning, wide release have added up to the film's content. In addition to this, ongoing Summer holidays too worked in favour of the film's success. 

Promotions

Last but not the least, the film's aggressive promotions have helped the film sustain the mixed talk it got in the opening. Though reviews weren't pleasing, audiences gave big thumbs up to the film. The film also received good word-of-the-mouth and film's promotions have helped it to take it forward. Considering wide fan following, Allu Arjun visited Bangalore ahead of film's release and he didn't even give up after the film hit good numbers. From the start to till the recent Blockbuster function, the film's publicity is yet another factor behind Sarainodu's stupendous success. 

On the whole, all the above factors made Sarainodu possible to hit landmark Rs 100 Crore gross number.

Have you ever seen A R Rahman in an angry mood. The answer might be a huge no as the Oscar winner is one man who is sober and calm all the time. But things took a u-turn as Rahman got hugely upset and walked away from a Hindi project.

Reports coming in from Mumbai reveal that A R Rahman was working on Aamir Khan's upcoming project Secret Super Star from one year now. He had even composed some songs for the film but sadly, the project never took off.

He reportedly contacted Aamir and his team who ignored him as they were busy with Aamir's next film Dangal. Left now with no choice, Rahman called the concerned authorities and left the film mid way. 

A different music director has now been roped in for the film which will be made by Aamir Khan's personal manager.

Gang Leader was a trendsetter and a special movie in Chiranjeevi's career, that pushed him to thenext level of stardom. Few movies have that luck of having best in all departments and Gang Leader was sure one of them. As the movie completed 25 years of release, fans have been celebrating and so are Chiru and Charan. 

 Ram Charan came up with dubsmash video of Chiru's famous dialogue in Gang leader and recalled his childhood memories of dancing for its superhit numbers. Chiru too lost in memories from the time of Gang Leader, but came out expressing his wish to see Ram Charan in that commercial blockbuster remake. Not just Chiru, but Sai Dharam Tej too opined that only Ram Charan has that right to be in Gang Leader remake. 

 Well, keeping the rights and possibilities aside, Chiru's idea of making a reboot version of yesteryear's superhit movie is not liked by many movie lovers. Be it a classic or commercial potboiler, some movies remain great only if they were kept untouched with remake intentions. 

 When Chiru's superhit songs from best time of his career are brought to present movies of Ram Charan and Sai Dharam, the new musicians failed to recreate that essence and disappointed fans to core. And when Chiru is expecting Ram Charan to reprise his role in Gang leader movie itself, it becomes the biggest blunder and it stays as bad as their attempt and experience in burning hands with remake of Zanjeer. So, Chiru might be expecting his son to become a 'Gang Leader', but it is Charan who must forget Chiru's wish and leave the movie as it is, evergreen!

మే నెల స్టార్టింగ్ నుంచి మొదలుపెట్టి.. టాలీవుడ్ సూపర్ స్టార్ మహేష్ బాబు చేస్తున్న సందడి చూస్తుంటే, అభిమానులకు నిజంగా బ్రహ్మోత్సవాలు జరుపుకుంటున్నట్లుగా ఉంది. ఒక్క రోజు కూడా గ్యాప్ ఇవ్వకుండా వరుసగా పోస్టర్స్ , అప్ డేట్స్, సాంగ్ ప్రోమో, లిరికల్ సాంగ్, విషెస్ పోస్టర్, మేకింగ్ వీడియో.. ఇలా రోజుకో పేరు చెప్పి కొత్త కొత్తగా ప్రమోషన్స్ చేస్తూనే ఉంది బ్రహ్మోత్సవం టీమ్. ఇప్పుడు ఫ్యాన్స్ ఎదురుచూస్తున్న కీలకమైన రోజు రానే వచ్చేసింది.
బ్రహ్మోత్సవం ఆడియో విడుదల కోసం మహేష్ అభిమానులు ఎప్ప‌టినుంచో వెయ్యికళ్లతో ఎదురుచూస్తున్నారు. సినిమా గురించిన సంగతులు, రిలీజ్ డేట్ కబుర్లను సూపర్ స్టార్ నోటి వెంట వినచ్చన్నది వాళ్ల ఆశ. ఇప్పుడు ఆడియో రిలీజ్ పోస్టర్ కూడా వచ్చేసింది. ఈ పోస్టర్ లో మహేష్ బాబును చూస్తే.. ఎవరికైనా సరే కళ్లు అదరాల్సందే. అంత హ్యాండ్సమ్ గా ఉన్నాడు మహేష్. అది కూడా కలర్ ఫుల్ బ్యాక్ గ్రౌండ్ ముందు మహేష్ ఇలా క‌నిపించ‌డంతో మరింత మెరిసిపోతున్నాడు.
ఖాళీ బ్యాక్ గ్రౌండ్ లో కేరక్టర్ ని కలర్ ఫుల్ గా చూపించడం వేరు. కానీ ఈ పోస్టర్ లో మహేష్ బాబు వెనుకే బోలెడన్ని కలర్స్ ఉన్నాయి. అన్నిటి ముందు కూడా బ్లాక్ అండ్ వైట్ స్ట్రైప్స్ టీషర్ట్ – ఖాకీ ఫ్యాంట్ – వైట్ షూస్.. చెప్పడానికి సింపుల్ గా ఉన్నా.. ఆ డ్రసింగ్ లో మహేష్ ఒక రేంజ్ లో హైలెట్ అవుతున్నాడు. ద‌టీజ్ మ‌హేష్.

నందమూరి బాలకృష్ణ నటిస్తున్న లెజెండ్ చిత్రం ప్రస్తుతం బ్యాంకాక్ లో షూటింగ్ జరుగుతుంది. ఈ సినిమాను మార్చి 28 న విడుదలకు ప్లాన్ చేస్తున్నాడు. అయితే ఈ సినిమా పై ఇప్పటికే అటు అబిమానుల్లో , ఇటు సిని వర్గాల్లో తీవ్రమైన ఆసక్తి నెలకొంది. ఇప్పటికే ఈ సినిమా పై అంచనాలు కుడా భారీగానే ఉన్నాయి. ఈ సినిమాతో పొలిటికల్ ఎంట్రీ ఇవ్వడానికి బాలయ్య రెడీ అవుతున్నడన్నా సంగతి తెలిసిందే. అందుకోసం ఈ సినిమాకు సంబందించిన కొన్ని ముఖ్య మైన వాటిలో నిర్ణయం బాలయ్యే తీసుకుంటున్నాడని తెలిసింది. వచ్చే ఎన్నికలకు దగ్గరలో ఈ చిత్రాన్ని విడుదల చేస్తే అప్పుడు మంచి కిక్ ఉంటుందని బాలయ్య ప్లాన్ వేసాడు. ఈ మూవీ ఆడియో ఫంక్షన్‌ కూడ మార్చి 9న జ‌ర‌పాల‌ని, బాల‌య్య ముహ‌ర్తం పెట్టిన‌ట్టు స‌మాచారం.  ప్రతి విషయాన్ని చాలా కేర్ తో చేస్తున్నాడని ఫిలిం నగర్ లో వినిపిస్తుంది. ఈ వ్యవహారం బట్టి చూస్తే బాలయ్య పొలిటికల్ ఎంట్రీ కోసం గట్టి ప్రయత్నాలే చేస్తున్నట్టు తెలుస్తోంది.

Mahesh Babu who is currently busy shooting for 'Aagadu' is keen on working with three top directors for his next three projects.

1) Puri Jagannath: Mahesh Babu is highly impressed with the storyline narrated by this crazy director and given his nod to shoot for it immediately after 'Aagadu'. Puri shared this news in his recent interview.

2) Mani Ratnam: Mahesh Babu has no reasons to say no for his favorite director. Mani is planning a multi-starrer with Mahesh Babu, Nagarjuna, Aishwarya Rai and Shruti Haasan. This project will go on floors by the end of 2014.

3) Trivikram Srinivas: Last but not least, Mahesh Babu has committed to work with his good friend immediately after the completion of Allu Arjun's film.

With these prior commitments, A-list filmmakers like Koratala Siva, Boyapati Seenu, Vamsi Paidipalli, Srikanth Addala and Krish have to wait for 2 more years for the chance to direct the Superstar.

Comedy hero Sunil’s upcoming movie Bhimavaram Bullodu has wrapped up the censor formalities and the movie has been cleared with U/A certification from the regional board members.

Sources are abuzz that the film has shaped up well and the makers are confident on their outing. Sunil paired up with Esther in the movie.

Bhimavaram Bullodu is directed by Uday Shankar and produced by Suresh Babu on Suresh Productions banner. Anup Rubens is the music director for the film. Sunil failed to score a hit with Mr.Pellikoduku and is planning to bounce back with Bhimavaram Bullodu.

The demise of legendary actor  Akkineni Nageswara Rao has created a glum environment in Akkineni family and the family members not yet recovered from demise of their family head

Akkineni has earned many properties in his life time and the talk has been making rounds in film circles about ANR’s earned properties and how he must have shared it

According to reports Hero Sumanth, grandson of late Akkineni Nageswara Rao, will now be the heir to ANR's major property on Banjara Hills.

It was buzzed that  ANR had a house on Road no.1, Banjara hills. The property was later converted into a commercial establishment. Now after ANR’s demise the truth is that it is indeed Sumanth’s property

Sumanth  is the only son of Surendra Yarlagadda and the late Satyavathi Akkineni. A few months after his birth, his parents returned to the US where they were residing. Sumanth, however, remained in India on the request of his grandfather, Akkineni Nageswara Rao. He was subsequently adopted by his grandfather and his grandmother

ANR  was extremely fond of both Sumanth and his Supriya, who are the children of his late daughter Satyavati.  Sumanth  is also partner in Annapurna Studios that was established in 1975 by his grandfather.

Tollywood films are now being affected by several factors. Piracy is one while ratings is the other aspect. Ratings in this articles means the ratings given by Censor Board. It seems that “A” rated flicks are getting good response from audience compared to “U” rated ventures.

Unless and until the “U” rated flicks contain heavy family sentiments, they are not able to cross the records of “A” rated flicks. Taking this aspect into consideration, few film makers in the recent past tried hard to get “A” certificate for their ventures.

Youngsters are getting attracted to romantic episodes and action sequences. This is turning out to be the main point for the flooding collections. This year too, few films got “A” rating from the Censor board and they are topping the collections at the box office.
