Their designs are unique and highly creative. Their work stands out in the clutter of publicity material of 100’s of films that release every year in Tollywood. No wonder then that Tollywood’s leading filmmakers prefer working with them only. The young designers duo Anil Chandrakanth and Bhanu Avirineni have now completed 100 films together.
They have been designing publicity material for films on their label – AB Core Design. Krishna vamsi’s Khadgam in 2002 was their first film. And today they are most sought after designers in South India. They also worked for some Bollywood films.
“We got the opportunity to work with the most renowned production houses and amazing talents from Tollywood and Bollywood. On this happiest moment we would sincerely like to thank each and everyone responsible for our growth and success in the film industry,” Anil and Bhanu share their joy.

Call it the Dabangg 2 effect. It was in March (three months after the release of Dabangg 2) that reports of Pawan Kalyan producing a sequel of last year’s blockbuster Gabbar Singh began doing the rounds. And in what seems like a chain reaction, four more sequels have been announced thereafter.
While YVS Chowdary has announced sequels to two of his hit films — Lahiri Lahiri Lahirilo and Seethayya, director Maruthi is hoping to cash in on the success of the recently released comic-thriller Prema Katha Chitram with a sequel. Actress Charmme too has jumped onto the sequel bandwagon and is starring in a sequel to the 2007 thriller Mantra. Clearly, sequels seem to be the order of the day in T-town.
Twice as nice
Gabbar Singh 2 is easily the most eagerly awaited sequel among a long list of them and director Sampath Nandi clarifies that the sequel “will have nothing to do with Dabangg 2.” “We’ve come up with a completely new script for Gabbar Singh 2. It will be more like an extension of Gabbar Singh and definitely won’t be a remake of Dabangg 2.”
With Pawan Kalyan producing the movie under his own banner, there is going to be that much more hype around the movie, more so because it’s his maiden production. Pawan, apparently, wanted to produce Gabbar Singh too and had even released the ‘first look’ poster with his production company. But due to reasons best known to the actor, Bandla Ganesh eventually went on to produce the movie.
Mantra again
Charmme Kaur, who has been sizzling in saucy “special songs” in big-ticket films off late, is back playing the lead. The sexy siren has just begun shooting for Mantra 2, the sequel to the successful thriller Mantra. SV Suresh, a debutant, is wielding the megaphone for the sequel and Charmme is pretty upbeat about the project, which she reckons to be the ‘first female centric Tollywood film’ to have a sequel.
“People have been asking me whether there would be any sequel to Mantra. I had the idea of doing a sequel since a long time, but I was waiting for the right script. And now, I’m thrilled to be part of Mantra 2 since it’s the only female-centric film to have a sequel. Although Mantra 2 is the second part, those who missed watching Mantra won’t have any trouble connecting with the sequel. The film will have a fresh script, bears no resemblance
to the first part and it’ll surely enthral movie buffs,” reasons Charmme.
Prema Katha retold
Similarly, the unexpected success of Prema Katha Chitram has encouraged producer Maruthi to come up with a sequel to the ‘horror-comedy’, directed by Prabhakar Reddy. However, Maruthi says, “He will be directing the movie in all probability.” The director-turned-producer is hoping to repeat the same lead cast — Sudhir Babu and Nanditha — for the sequel. “Since the lead character has ample scope to entertain further, the audience
wants to see more of him.
The audience love the quirky characterisation of the lead characters and I am sure they did not get enough of them. Hence, we are planning to give them more through the sequel. Also, since the audience already knows the lead characters, the sequel will be all about the script, so that there’s freshness and novelty in the concept that the audience can enjoy further,” says Maruthi. Interestingly, Prema Katha Chitram is currently being remade in
Hindi, Tamil and Kannada.
Quick to follow
Not to be left behind, director YVS Chowdary, who recently, wrapped up the shooting of his forthcoming film Rey, is keen to make sequels to two of his successful films, Lahiri Lahiri Lahirilo and Seethayya. While the sequel to the former is titled Krishna Mukunda Murari, the latter will have Evari Mata Veenadu as its sequel. The director in fact is almost done with the script for both the films and the pre-production work will commence soon. Truly, it’s raining sequels this season!

It is known that Puri Jagannath has got a home banner named as Vaishno Academy on which films like Idiot, Amma Nanna O Tamil Ammayi, 143, Shivamani and Pokiri have been made. The director usually prefers to produce the films close to his heart and the scripts he have immense confidence on this banner.

To everyone's surprise, Puri Jagannath floated a new banner - 'Touring Talkies'. The crazy filmmaker's next venture 'Heart Break' which stars Nithin & Adah Sharma will be made on this production house. Although Puri didn't clarify why he launched a new banner when he is already owning a successful production house, the director revealed that his family used to have a theatre with name 'Touring Talkies' in his childhood and the name of the banner was chosen in the memory of the single screen on which he used to watch movies.

Regular shooting of 'Heart Break' would begin from August 30th and Puri who is known for shooting his films at breakneck speed will release the film in December this year. The mystery behind the fresh banner could be chased only after the release of this heart-breaking love story.

Hero sunil is currently doing a movie which was titled tentatively as ‘Bheemavaram Bullodu’. The movie is being directed by Uday Shankar. Manisharma is doing the music of the film while Suresh Babu is producing the movie. As entire state is burning with political turmoil, the makers feel it would be better to change the title of the movie. As per the grapevine, they are thinking about the title ‘Dasara Bullodu’ for the movie.
‘Dasara Bullodu’ film was starred by Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Vanisri and Chandrakala and SVR. This movie was released in the year, 1971 and proved to be an industry hit then by crossing the collection records of previous industry hit movies. It would be a good move if sunil’s movie is titled as ‘Dasara Bullodu’.
Moreover, ANR’s movie title is a sentimental factor for sunil as his previous hit movie ‘Poola Rangadu’ was also taken from ANR’s then blockbuster film ‘Poola Rangadu’.
