As expected, there is no Telangana and Seemandhra agitations effect on Mega Power Star Ram Charan’s ‘Toofan’. The Apoorva Lakhia directorial has done a shocking pre release business in all areas especially in Nizam. The movie rights were sold for Rs. 11 crore.
But it is not known who bought the rights. Overall, Toofan has done 34 crore pre release business. Here are the business details of Toofan in AP.

Mega Power Star Ram Charan, Priyanka Chopra’s Zanjeer directed by Apurva Lakhia is all set for grand release on Sep 6th. The film stars Priyanka Chopra, Mahie Gill and Sanjay Dutt. With Victory Venkatesh gracing the audio launch event of Ram Charan starrer Thoofan, the speculations on the duo multistarrer project grow stronger while sources from film circles confirm the project.

Creative genius Krishnavamsi is set to wield the megaphone for the film and Super Star Krishna is expected to play a prominent role. Bandla Ganesh will produce this big-budget film under Parameswara Arts production banner. An official announcement on the film is awaited.

Meanwhile Ram Charan is busy with Zanjeer/Thoofan promotions along with actress Priyanka Chopra and Venkatesh is busy with the shooting schedules of Bol Bachchan remake titled Masala.

Telugu Film industry is paying very dearly for the ongoing Samaikyandhra agitations and for its political connections. Veteran actors Chiranjeevi and Harikrishna’s pro- Samaikyandhra stand is creating hurdle for Pawan Kalyan, Ram Charan Tej and Jr.NTR’s movie release in Telangana. If, the movies couldn’t release in one region, then the producers may not afford to release them in other region alone as it may ruin their business and put them in heavy losses.

Theater owners and distributors have already facing financial crisis as there were no releases of big films ever since agitations triggered in Seemandhra region. Further, a section of Samaikyandhra activists have given a call for boycotting Mega heroes’ movies as Chiranjeevi has refused to step down from his Union Minister post. Ultimately, all these developments left the film industry in a helpless position. Theater owners in Seemandhra are planning to shut down theaters for one week starting from September 1st week, protesting bifurcation of the state. It not only helps them to cut down their losses but also ensure their participation in the agitations.
