Saloni, who gained recognition after playing the main lead in Rajamouli’s Maryada Ramanna, has finally got the break she was waiting for. The actor, whose last film, Bodyguard, didn’t fare too well, is all set to act opposite Allu Arjun in Race Gurram, directed by Surender Reddy.
The team has already commenced the shooting in Hyderabad, and it has two female leads, one of which is being played by Shruti Haasan. Confirming her role, Saloni says, “Yes, I am doing the film. My character will give me a lot of scope to perform.”
A source from the unit added that she plays a traditional role in the film. “Most of the time, she wears a sari in the movie,” adds the source. The film is being produced by Nallamalapu Srinivas and the story was written by Vakkantham Vamsi.
